This project, created in collaboration with London's Tate Archive and the Royal College of Art, explores themes of identity and of being forgotten. I worked within the archives, using photographs of unidentified people—images with no labels, names, or stories attached—to create the base for my work. These lost photographs were transformed into unique, small-scale artworks that require careful attention. In the darkroom, I used movement, water, and chemicals to create a blurred, dreamlike effect. Through this process, I aim to shine a light on the idea of being forgotten, giving presence to those whose identities have faded into obscurity. The photographs are one-of-a-kind, small scale originals, that are meant to be looked at from close. The images are printed onto tactile and textured silver gelatin photographic paper.
